The purpose of the La Salle Explorers SHRM Student Chapter is to develop leadership, human services, management, group decision-making skills, network with other students, as well as practitioners to enhance our learning experiences and make connections with other practitioners to keep up with current human capital and human resources practices. The goal of the La Salle Explorers SHRM Student Chapter is to develop superior professional communication skills with philosophically and culturally diverse internal and external individuals to learn about all facets of human services, prepare students for informed service, as well as to become progressive leaders in their communities, which is one of the missions of the Christian Brothers at La Salle University. Through the La Salle Explorers SHRM Student Chapter, we intend to hold at least three annual networking events at our Main campus, Bucks county campus, as well as the Metroplex locations, to promote a collaborative, strategic thinking, professional community of learners engaged in dialogue and decision making about human services, business, resources, the human capital development program, as well as networking opportunities which will provide members the opportunity to grow academically, personally, as well as professionally. All of these initiatives contribute to La Salle’s educational mission. La Salle Explorers SHRM Student Chapter membership is open to all full and part-time students (undergraduate and graduate) as well as alumni of La Salle University. Membership status will not be denied based on race, religion, national origin, or physical limitations.
