The GIS Vision:
Gamma Iota Sigma is the International Collegiate Professional Fraternity for students pursuing careers in risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science; and a leader in the development and advancement of professional ideals.
“Gamma Iota Sigma is a professional fraternity organized to: promote, encourage and sustain interest in insurance, risk management and actuarial sciences as professions; encourage high moral and scholastic attainments; and facilitate the interaction and cooperation of educational institutions, industry, and professional organizations by fostering research, scholarship, and improved public relations.”
Our Core Values:
As laid out by the Grand Chapter, the Gamma Iota Sigma fraternity promotes true and lasting friendship, a desire for knowledge, a dedication to integrity, and faithful fidelity.
To embellish the academic component of the Risk Management and Insurance Program, our chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma was chartered at La Salle University in March of 1989.
Finance Professor Kathi McNichol and members of the Alpha Delta Chapter attended Philly I Day this spring. Philly I Day is a day of educational workshops and networking sponsored by the Insurance Society of Philadelphia and several professional organizations in the area.
